The owner is a gem. Made us feel welcome. Provided just enough local info and made the most spectacular breakfast served on the front porch. Would definitely return thanks for a memorable stay
Needed a getaway from the windy city and spend some time alone with the boyfriend. Googled bed and breakfast and Captain Simon’s B7B showed up. I loved the fact that we would be boarding in a victorian house and being served food with actual silver flatware! The bf and I enjoyed our walks along the town and lake. We will definitely be returning in the Fall time as well.
The owner is a fabulous hostess! She made us feel like we were at home while visiting for a work-related trip. Very comfortable beds and delicious food. The owner was flexible with our work schedule, making breakfast very early and even agreeing to pack lunches for us! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
I have stayed in Captain Simons BnB twice now! It’s a gorgeous house that is instantly homey. Bonnie (the hostess) is incredibly friendly, with great suggestions of places to see and tasty dinner spots. Her breakfasts are delicious (you have to try the french toast!} and varied. I can’t wait to visit again!
My husband and I stayed at Captain Simons to celebrate our Anniversary. We are so happy that we did! The home is beautifully decorated and immaculate. Walking through the front door is like stepping back in time. We were welcomed by our hostess and immediately made to feel at home. Bonnie is charming and very informative about the area. She offered many suggestions for dining, shopping, sightseeing, and more. Bonnie is as charming as the B and B. Our room was in the turret. The bed was very comfortably covered in comforters and pillows. There was plenty of space for us to move around and sitting area for reading. A three piece bathroom is included. Guest have access to a living room area with TV and comfortable furnishings. Our morning breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We were delighted to sit and chat with Bonnie following breakfast. We hope to return in the summer to take full advantage of all Clayton and the St. Lawerence River have to offer. We are excited to return to Captain Simons Bed and Breakfast.
