My wife and I were
My wife and I were here for a wedding in the area. Although our initial reason for choosing something other than the major hotel in the area was price, we quickly appreciated the personal level of hospitality and the sense of home that was present. The house is very comfortable. Our room was well equipped with everything we needed. Coffee was delivered just outside the room in the morning in preparation for a wonderful breakfast. Bonnie was sure to make our experience very personalized from greeting us when we arrived to a breakfast that rivaled any I could imagine getting at the most exclusive restaurant. Thank you! We will be back.
We had the BEST stay!
We had the BEST stay! Bonnie is wonderful- warm, fun, helpful and a FANTASTIC cook-we felt totally spoiled, like a five star restaurant! Our bed was very comfortable, and our nice big shower was great after a long hot day. The house itself is amazing with carved wood paneling, beautiful old moldings, and cozy furniture and relaxing areas throughout, plus a grand staircase-not to mention the huge porch to sit & chat on that we had breakfast on-LOVED IT! We are already planning to return in Feb for the fire & ice festival! CANT WAIT-thank you for a GREAT stay! If anyone is thinking about staying here-don’t hesitate, we had the perfect experience!
Captain Simon’s Bed & Breakfast
Captain Simon’s Bed & Breakfast is top notch! The house and bedrooms are just as described! Absolutely beautiful and comfortable! After a great night’s sleep, my mother, three brothers, nephew and I are served a scrumptious breakfast. Each breakfast is made to order, very prettily presented, and taste fabulous! (My family is quite a handful to handle.) Bonnie Bouchard is a wonderful, attentive and friendly proprietress! She takes great care of us whenever we are able to visit. Though only once a year, family members have been visiting Captain Simon’s for over fifteen years!
And it is situated in a nice small village with good restaurants within easy an easy stroll! What more could one ask for!
I wanted to surprise my
I wanted to surprise my husband for his birthday & take him away to Clayton. I didn’t want the “big” resort feel but rather a small intimate quiet atmosphere. This was exactly what I was looking for. The owner Bonnie is fabulous. So gracious & genuine. Captain Simon’s B & B is a slice of heaven. The house is adorable. Our room was clean & cozy. Bonnie asked us what time we get up so she could bring up a pot of coffee. At 8:00 am the coffee was in the hallway hot & ready. Over the top service. Bonnie asked us before we went out for dinner what time we wanted breakfast & what did we want. Really? Where does this happen? She said she can make us whatever we wanted. Well let me tell you that our breakfast was made for royalty. Set up breakfast on the front porch area all ready for us at exactly 9:00 am. The conversations we had with Bonnie were warm & pleasant. We will be back. 5 star! ***** Thank you Bonnie for your hospitality & for being you.
We had a delightful stay
We had a delightful stay with Bonnie and Mike. The breakfast was as good as any fancy hotel, better!! They have a great location close to everything in town. We would definitely return. Thanks
While I was in the
While I was in the midst of a family wedding, Bonnie made my stay like visiting a spa! She was so calming and helpful! I enjoyed her stories of the area and her home. The home is beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming!! The food is delicious and served so prettily! I came away feeling like I had had a vacation , and best of all, I made a friend ! I will be back and have suggested to family Capt. Simons is THE place to stay!
Captain Simons B&B is centrally
Captain Simons B&B is centrally located and within walking distance to the water. A short drive to nearby towns and the Thousand Islands Bridge. We stayed at the B&B for two nights. Bonnie couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. She does everything possible to make you feel at home and is a delight to talk to. Each evening, she asked what we wanted for breakfast and at what time. Coffee was waiting outside our room at the requested time. A full breakfast, not continental, was served outside on the front porch, and was so much better than you would find at any restaurant – whatever we wanted, and then some. Everything was excellent, and served beautifully – french toast was my favorite.
A short drive from Bonnie’s house is Clayton Island Boat Tours, where we took the 3.5 hour Boldt Castle and Two Island boat tour, which was very enjoyable. When we left, we felt like we were leaving an old friend, not someone we had just met. Thanks Bonnie!
